Thank you for your continued prayers for the sale of our home. We had an open house today from 12:30 to 2:00 and 5 couples attended. Our realtor said that 1 couple really really liked it but they have not 1, but 2 homes to sell (and are not listed yet). One couple just stopped in to get some decorating ideas, as they are finishing a home and thought that I was an interior decorator (they saw the house online). Anyway, I told my realtor to tell them I just watch a lot of HGTV. Ha!
The other 2 couples were not interested; one said it's too small for them and the other didn't like the gravel road.
Something we learned was that one of the couples did some research on the tombstone in our yard. Sam Green is buried on our lot; the story we heard was that he was a large land owner and wanted to be buried in his land. He was buried in 1858, I believe (I need to check it for certain). Well we found out tonight that Samuel Green was a nephew of our first president George Washington. Perhaps someone who is into history will have even more appreciation for our lot now. Maybe we should raise the price?! LOL...:)
Please continue to pray for our house to sell in God's timing. Of course we're praying it will sell sooner rather than later. It would be so nice to be in Iowa by Christmas. It would especially be nice to have the Christmas break to move and get Zachary registered with his new school, but we know that God's plans are perfect and it will all work out in His time.
Speaking of everything working out according to God's plans.....we have exciting news to share! Zachary has been seizure-free for exactly one year today! Praise God! We prayed for years for Zachary to be healed from seizures and for him to be off medications and we are thankful to report both of these prayers have been answered. Thank you for your faithful prayers for him. It's been an amazing journey; we are looking forward to what God has in store for the rest of Zachary's life.
